One of our clients is an internet installer and service provider for many rural areas located across the western part of the United States. They use many pieces of equipment to expand their services into additional growing rural communities. There was a great need to be more compliant with the Department of Transportation to routinely inspect equipment and resolve any failed inspection items for things like bucket trucks, ditch witches, drills, etc.
REDLIST’s Custom Forms Tool has allowed the client to now have daily reports of what pieces of equipment are in use and being inspected. REDLIST inspections help facilitate a straightforward walk-around inspections to be performed on a daily basis. Safety and Maintenance items are now reported to one central maintenance office that then schedules maintenance jobs for assets found across different states.
Stored inspection data is now handled in one database. Reports of who has done what saves a great deal of time from making dozens of phone calls every day to follow up with employees who have not completed their inspections for the day. Reports now go to management on a daily basis and have helped increase compliance by 80%. Increased accountability allows the maintenance team to be better informed of any major equipment issues that need to be addressed.
